A rare window into one of India’s most untouched ecosystems.
Matu Luxe sits close to the Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary, inside a stretch of the Eastern Himalayas where forest, river, and mountain ecosystems remain largely as they have for centuries. For birdwatchers, naturalists, and curious travellers alike, this is one of the richest, least-explored wildlife regions left in India.
The valley is home to rare Himalayan bird species rarely spotted outside dedicated expeditions, alongside rich forest biodiversity and Indigenous flora and fauna found nowhere else. Pristine rivers and streams cut through the landscape, feeding the ecosystems that make this one of the region’s most biodiverse corridors.
Matu Luxe was built to sit lightly on this land. Every structure uses local materials and local hands, so the valley remains as untouched tomorrow as it is today, and every wildlife experience we offer is guided, low-impact, and designed to protect the very ecosystems that make it worth visiting in the first place.
